What can’t we see?

The photographer

This photo was taken by Josef Friedrich Coeppicus. At the time he is the owner of a small photographic shop in Baden-Baden. Many years later his daughter says that her father was an opponent of the regime. And yet, on this particular day Coeppicus takes more than 20 pictures.

From the content of his pictures, it is clear that the perpetrators know Coeppicus and tolerate his presence at the scene – otherwise he would not have been able to take the photos. He may even be acting in an official capacity.
