What is the letter about?

This is the cover letter sent with the protocol of the meeting at Wannsee. Here Heydrich evidently seeks to assert his authority and control the account of the meeting. He expressly records that there was complete consensus at the meeting about the implementation of the “final solution to the Jewish question”. The details are now to be worked out by specialists. Luther is to send his “specialist” to a first such meeting.

Heydrich also mentions that he has been tasked with submitting an overall plan for the murder of the Jews to Reich Marshal Hermann Göring. However, the plan is never submitted – one of the reasons being that Heydrich dies in May 1942, as the result of an assassination attempt.
