Spectators line the streets as if at a pageant or parade. On the left of the picture a large number of bicycles can be seen. Some of the bystanders have probably come here specially. Some people are evidently taking a break from work this Thursday to watch the procession. Baden-Baden is a small town. Some of the bystanders certainly know some of the men who are being led away.
